Personal Statement:
CTAF is important because it is a science-based and evidence driven group that does high quality reviews of many exciting new technologies. The focus on CTAF is on examining the evidence that new technologies will improve patient’s outcomes. This may seem obvious but does not always happen and I think CTAF has an important role in improving the quality of medical care in California.

Related Activities:
Dr. Redberg held a NIH grant to study the effects of exercise on heart disease in women and has numerous publications in this field. Her main research interests are non-invasive testing for coronary artery disease and preventive cardiology as well as health policy.
