Establishing the efficacy of new technologies is an essential step towards improving the real value of the health care services delivered to the public. CTAF is making important contributions to the growing field of evidence-based care, helping to determine when new technologies truly improve health outcomes and patient safety.

As a health policy expert, Dr. Torrens has served in numerous advisory and consulting capacities to governmental and non-governmental organizations in all parts of the United States and abroad.
His experience abroad includes work in 18 foreign countries as advisor or consultant.
Related Activities:
Dr. Torrens has had many years of direct management experience in hospitals and health organizations of all kinds. He has been associated with a major national accounting and management consulting firm as a consultant for 15 years, and has served on a wide variety of governing boards/boards of directors of hospitals, health care systems, and other health organizations.
